Rachel Anne McAdams
Rachel Anne McAdams was born on the 17th
of November 1978, in London, Ontario, Canada Rachel Anne McAdams was the
daughter of Sandra Kay (Gale), a nurse, and Lance Frederick McAdams, an auto
driver and furniture mover. She is Englishand is Welsh- -, Irishas well as
Scottish. Rachel was involved in acting at the age of 13 and, by 13 she was
performing in Shakespearean productions at summer theater camp. She later went
on to graduate with distinction, earning a BFA degree in Theater at York
University. After her debut on the episode of Disney's The Famous Jett Jackson
(1998) In 1998, she starred as a co-star on the Canadian TV series Slings and
Arrows (2003) which was a comedy-drama that focused on the struggles and trials
of a Shakespearean theatre group. She also received the Gemini award for her
performance in 2003.Her breakout role as Regina George in the hit comedy Mean
Girls (2004) instantly brought her to the top of the list of Hollywood's most
sought-after young actresses. In the following film, she was cast opposite Ryan
Gosling in The Notebook (2004). The Notebook was a big hit at the box office it
quickly became the most watched romantic drama for the new generation of
filmgoers. McAdams was introduced to Gosling while filming. They began dating
until mid-2007. McAdams and Gosling were engaged and began to meet. After her
role in The Lucky Ones, a military drama, State of Play, and The Time
Traveler's Wife (2009) McAdams was a co-star with Jude Law and Robert Downey
Jr. in Guy Ritchie's global blockbuster Sherlock Holmes. McAdams played the
shrewd producer in Morning Glory (2010). McAdams also played Owen Wilson's
materialistic fiancee in Midnight in Paris (2011). McAdams then returned to
romantic drama in The Vow (2012) with Channing Tatum. McAdams also stars
alongside Terrence Malick in To the Wonder (2012) as well as Noomi Rapace is
Passion (2012) in Brian De Palma's thriller.
