Bruce Willis

Musician and actor Bruce Willis is well known for playing wisecracking or hard-edged characters, usually in stunning action films. Together, they've been featured in films grossing more than $2.5 billion dollars. Walter Bruce Willis was born on the 19th of March 1955 in Idar-Oberstein in West Germany, to a German mother, Marlene Kassel, and an American father, David Andrew Willis (from Carneys Point, New Jersey) They were living on a United States military base. His family moved to America soon after his birth. He was raised in Penns Grove (New Jersey) where his mother worked as a bank clerk and his father was an electrician and worker in an industrial facility. Willis began to take an interest in dramatic arts in high school. He was "discovered" as a bartender in a New York City cafe. In the following years, he appeared in numerous off-Broadway productions. In one bar, he was seen by a casting director who appreciated his character and was looking for a bartender for a small movie part. After numerous auditions, Willis made a few film appearances that were often uncredited, prior to being cast as the private watchdog "David Addison" alongside sultry Cybill Shepherd in the hit romantic comedy television series Moonlighting (1985). His humorous and wisecracking P.I. Some see it as an opportunity to practice for Willis' role in Die Hard (1988), in which he fought the gang of thieves from the Los Angeles skyscraper. The sequel, Die Hard 2 (1990), Willis reprised his role as McClane. The story was set in Washington's Dulles International Airport where a group of rebellious Special Forces soldiers are trying to bring back a corrupt South American general. The film's impressive performance at the box office prompted another sequel to Die Hart with avengeance (1995). This time, Samuel L. Jackson starred as a cynical Harlem shop owner, who was accidentally forced to assist McClane during a terrorist attack on a scorching New York City day.
