Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop music
boy group that formed in 2009. The group consists of Kendall Schmidt, James
Maslow and Logan Henderson. They signed their first contract to Nick Records in
2009 before switching to Columbia Records. The group was on Nickelodeon's
television show Big Time Rush. The show aired from November 28th from 2009 to
July 25, 2013. The pilot episode included "Big Time Rush", the
group's debut promotional single. The group has released three studio albums:
BTR in 2010, Elevate in 2011, and 24/Seven , released in 2013. In 2014, the
band was on a hiatus that ran until 2021. They returned to live performances in
the studio, and then released "Call It Like It Sees It". Nickelodeon
has signed Big Time Rush to a recording deal in 2009, concurrently with the tv
show, Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon then partnered with Columbia/Epic Label Group
in order to create the series and to provide original music. For the series,
their first single, "Big Time Rush" came out on November 29, 2009.
The announcement was made by Nickelodeon in November 2009, the show premiered
for the first time in the US. It was then released internationally. The show
premiered in a special preview of the series. It is the current theme for the
show's opening. The series also saw the release of promotional singles such as
"City is Ours" and "Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush also
covered the Play song "Famous" that was written by the singer. It was
made available to iTunes on the 29th of June, 2010. Another song, "Halfway
There", was released to iTunes on April 27, 2010, following its debut on
the show. The song quickly became the band's first single to be charted on the
Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 93 , thanks to digital sales. The second
single by Big Time Rush, "Till You Forget About You", was released on
the 21st of September on the 21st of September. It was released in order to
promote their debut album. The album, titled BTR, was released on October 11 on
the 11th of October, 2010. The album reached number 3 on Billboard 200 and sold
67,000 copies within its first week.
